The announcement recently came on November 19th, when Saira Banu’s lawyer, Vandana Shah, issued an official statement saying, “After many years of marriage, Mrs. Saira has made the difficult decision to separate from her husband, Mr. AR Rahman. Despite their deep love, emotional tensions have created a gap that neither feels able to bridge. Mrs. Saira has taken this step with great pain and requests privacy as she navigates this difficult chapter.”

AR Rahaman broke his silence regarding the matter, sharing a heartfelt Twitter now X post on social media, and being nostalgic his note read, “We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again.” Rehman expressed his deep sorrow over the unforeseen end to their union.
